This year we turned to our friends at Beau Desert Golf Club in Staffordshire with their course achieving a TOP 52 ranking in England, we were in “FORE” a real treat.

We welcomed Regional Ambassadors, Ambassadors and Members from the South West, South, South East, Midlands, North East, South Central and North West, an incredible sign of appetite from the community to not only play a wonderful golf course ⛳️ but the chance to network with some of the finniest business leaders in our community 👏

After a fantastic morning of networking our 1st tee was 10.10. Although we could see the rain and wind gods made every effort to add additional challenges to the playing conditions, there were early signs of some incredible scores being posted!!

Sorry did I forget to mention….. one member in the room has recently shared a £500,000💰pound introduction to another member which has been delivered and is likely to exceed £1.5 MILLION 💰over the next 12 months, thank you so much for the business and friendship you share with the community Andrew Wilson from our Knutsford Group 👏👏

Who says we all play too much golf, Dan Summer confirmed to me many years ago, if he’s not playing golf, then he’s not growing his network 👊 how about you…? 🤔

In total 5 players achieved level par a special mention for Rob Barras and Adrian Mansfield 👏 but as we know there can only be one WINNER.

Coming in with a very respectful 37 points was our very own UK and International Growth Director David Harries. Coming in 2nd place with 41 points and home of the CHIGGERS Group was Kristen Dean.

But today it gives me great pleasure in confirming after over 6.5 years of membership and amazing support to the community, John Rawlings AKA JR our Regional Co Ambassador for the Midlands came in with a whopping 42 points off 5.8 adjusted to 8 for the day.

The community celebrates your win JR you throughly deserve it!!!! 🏆

We also had some additional competitions on the day, Nearest the pin won by Sam Hotten from our West Brownish Group and Nearest the pin in 2 was won by our Regional Co Ambassador for South Central Peter Hudson, Peter found the green in 1 👌🏻Kindly received on their behalf by Adrian Mansfield West Bromwich Group and Andy Taylor Regional Co Ambassador for South Central.

Thank you again to all the competitors from the day, it’s always such a treat to catch up with members we have known for many years and of course members that have recently joined our community in the last year.

The feeling of standing tall after five years of relentless defeat, yet still rising to face another challenge.

The feeling of seeing 38 Southern team members believing with all their hearts that this was our year.

The feeling that stirred within us as Day 2 began, that maybe, just maybe, we could actually win the North v South 2024…

The feeling of pride, knowing that every member of South team fought for every point, leaving nothing on the course.

The feeling of triumph when we lifted the cup as the “FORE” Business North v South Champions 💙

But for Sean the Captain of the South, the most important feeling of all is watching our players and their competitors walk off into the sunset, knowing they’ve forged friendships “FORE” LIFE.

That’s what we’re all about, and that’s why we’re the LARGEST BUSINESS GOLF NETWORK in the WORLD 🙏🏻

Oh, and before I forget—YES, we believed, and we went on to win the overall match 20 1/2 to 16 1/2 🏆

This was our 11th National Open event and to say they just get better would be an understatement…..!

We even had Royalty on the day, Tim Savage joined us who was present at our very 1st “FORE” Business Networking Event in March 2013 hosted at Basingstoke Golf Club. The month and year “FORE” Business was officially born!!!

With the incredible support of Colin Young, David Harries, Tim Elgar and Andy Taylor members were checked in to ensure they had the right handicap and the guys helped deliver a brilliant networking session before play commenced with a shot gun start at 11:00am.

It was wonderful to see members catching up from previous rounds of golf and conversations of planned meetings ahead.

NOTE – Don’t allow the golf photos and further details to confuse you that it was all about the golf……. Every year our members attend our 1000+ golf and networking events to build new friendships and deliver unrivalled returns for their businesses.

The Warwickshire Golf Club (The Kings Course) was set up incredibly well with some challenging flag placements and we were grateful to stay dry all day… even short sleeves were required.

Not only was the day about finding our National Open Champion and growing our connections….this year we had one additional very important item on our agenda.

As a reminder, during the month of June our community has been supporting one of our Regional Ambassadors, Dean Fox and the The Dean Fox MND Foundation.

The Nearest The Pin June Challenge to support Dean Fox who was diagnosed with MND in August 2023 had raised a staggering £8.8k in June.

Courtesy of our partners WWW.PXG.COM who kindly sponsored the NTP competition on hole 17 with a wonderful PXG Carry Bag worth £249….donations poured in at the start of day to push the total to £9.5k….WOW!

In our opinion everyone was a Champion on the day, but as we know there can only be one “FORE” Business Champion.

That said, we never like to rest on our laurels….

So today, we are delighted to announce that David Harries has accepted the challenge to become the UK & International Growth Director for “FORE” Business.

This is a new role created with the purpose of achieving sustained membership growth, and new business opportunities for our members, across our UK, Spanish, Irish, Swedish and UAE groups.

For those that don’t know, David started his “FORE” Business journey as a member in December 2015 and soon progressed to Ambassador of our Chester group and then Regional Director of the North West. In his time at the helm of the North West, he has overseen the launch of 6 new groups, taking the Region to 12 groups, and a doubling of the membership.

In a previous life, David comes with many years of senior change management experience working within multi-national businesses, delivering people, process and organisational change – so he is very well equipped to help us develop improved processes and organisational structure within the business.

Over the next few months David will be rolling out a new Regional framework. This will see the UK organised into 8 discrete regions, each managed by 2 x Regional Ambassadors.

Each region will have 7-12 groups, with each group managed by 2 x Ambassadors.

David will be hosting meetings with all Ambassadors, on a region-by-region basis. Within these meetings David will outline the plans he has and inviting Ambassadors to apply for a Regional Ambassador Role, within their respective regions.

These plans are already well underway.

As at June 1st, a new Region (North Central) was launched, with Sam Ferrington and Ben Cooper appointed as Regional Ambassadors.

David is stepping away from his current role as Regional Director effective July 1st, and Paul Cliffe and Dan Sumner, will be confirmed as Regional Ambassadors for the (North-West) Region from that date.

Currently, David is holding discussions with Ambassadors of our soon-to-be launched Midlands Region.

We are really excited by this new role and looking forward to seeing the positive impact this will have.

We hope you will join us in wishing David all the best in this new mission and we hope you will provide him with the support over the months ahead that he will need to make some of these important changes happen.

Our Scottsdale, yes Scottsdale group opened it’s doors to 9 new guests and all guests have now asked to join our community.

The weather was incredible and the resort at The Westin Kierland Golf Club was just AMAZING……!

It was great to have a mix of professions from Cyber Security, Mortgage Broker, Insurance Specialist, Loan Broker, Change Management, Real Estate and Recruitment Specialists join us – we had a great time and can already see that our Scottsdale members will be writing new business very soon 💰

⛳️ There were some crazy scores out there today with Gannon Thiel scoring 45 stableford points 🏆 Paul Howard scoring 43 and Josh Kuhn coming in with 42 points.

The greens and fairways couldn’t have been better prepared and we are now taking new enquires for our next networking and golf meeting on 15th February 2023 from 07.15am.
